This cute and funny piece shows a green and white frog with a golden crown topped with a red velvet cup, resting on an elegant cushion as if it were the throne of a real king. The cushion is soft red with damask drappings and haberdashery tassel in purple color (a traditional royal distinctive). A popular phrase related to this character is, "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince." It is used to encourage women who have romance troubles.
